Shipping, returns & tax
What it costs to ship, how sales tax is handled, and the one thing to know before you order: all sales are final. Capital Forge League is a nonprofit and the store runs on no margin, so there are no refunds and no returns. Buying gear is a purchase of goods, not a donation, so it is not a charitable contribution for tax purposes.
The store is not taking orders yet. Nothing on this page charges you, and nothing is shipped. It opens once card payments are connected and a person has confirmed the shipping prices above. The terms on this page are the ones that will apply.
Shipping
You choose the speed at checkout. These are the current prices for one item shipped inside the United States.
Speeds and prices
- Ground (5–7 business days) — $5.99
- Expedited (2–3 business days) — $14.99
- Overnight — $34.99
Business days are Monday to Friday, not counting holidays. The clock starts when the order leaves us, not when you place it.
What adds to the price
- More than one item — $1.50 for each extra item in the same order.
- Helmets — $15.00 each. They ship in a bigger box.
- Alaska and Hawaii — $12.00 on top of the speed you choose.
- Outside the United States — we do not ship abroad yet. Email us and we will tell you when we do.
Your exact shipping price is shown in the bag before you pay. You are never charged anything that was not on that screen.
All sales are final
No refunds, no returns, and we cannot pay return shipping. Please check the sizes and the description first, and email info@capitalforgeleague.com with any question — a person answers before you buy.
Our policy
All sales are final. Capital Forge League is a nonprofit and the store runs on no margin: what you pay covers the item and goes back into the league's programs. Because of that we do not give refunds, we do not take returns, and we do not pay return shipping. This is true for gear, for charitable auction lots, and for items sold at a sponsored event. Before you order, please check the sizes and the description, and email info@capitalforgeleague.com with any question. A person will answer you before you buy. If your order arrives damaged, if we sent the wrong item, or if it never arrives, email info@capitalforgeleague.com with your order number and a photograph within 7 days of delivery, or within 30 days of ordering if nothing arrived. We will replace it at our cost. That is a replacement, not a refund. Placing an order means you accept that all sales are final.
The auction too
A winning bid is binding and final. Charitable auction lots are one of a kind and sold as they are, and items sold at a sponsored event are final in the same way. A lot is released only after the payment clears. Pickup needs identification; shipping goes to the address you confirm, on the terms shown on that lot. See the auction rules.
Why there is no refund
Capital Forge League is a nonprofit. The store is not a profit centre: what you pay covers the item and the rest goes into the league's programs, so there is no margin to fund refunds or to pay for shipping something back. Every order is one more athlete or veteran on a team.
Tax
What you will be charged
Sales tax is worked out at checkout from the address you are shipping to, and it is shown to you before you pay. Capital Forge League is a nonprofit, but that does not make a purchase of goods tax-free: where a state requires sales tax on gear, it is collected.
The estimate you may see before checkout uses each state's published base rate (Florida, for example, is 6%). County and city add-ons are not in that estimate. The figure at checkout is the one you pay.
This is not a donation
Buying a shirt, a cap or an auction lot is buying something, so it is not a charitable contribution and we do not send a donation receipt for it. If you want to give, the donation page is the place, and donations are what keep NIL education and the athlete course free.
Shipping prices on this page are the ones a person set and confirmed on the league's orders desk. When they change, this page changes with them.
